Dr. Jennifer Clay, ND
Dr. Clay graduated with honors from Bastyr University in 2005 with a doctorate degree in Naturopathic Medicine. Dr. Clay is an expert in the application of Bio-Identical Hormone treatments, and she joined Water’s Edge in 2006 to pursue her interests in women’s health, metabolic detoxification, nutrition and herbal studies.
Dr. Clay grew up in Gig Harbor and graduated from Western Washington University with a degree in Pre-Physical Therapy and minors in Biology and Chemistry. She lives in the Seattle area with her husband and two children. Dr. Clay enjoys running almost every day, as well as spending as much time outdoors as possible.
Dr. King graduated with honors from Bastyr University with a dual degree in Naturopathic Medicine and Acupuncture. She earned a BS in cell biology from the University of Washington. At Water’s Edge, she helps treat conditions related to menopause and hormonal imbalances, and her goal is to become an expert in bio-identical hormone therapies.
Monique is the face of the front office and back office. She is the lead in assisting the physicians and tending to all patient questions and concerns. Monique started her career at Water’s Edge in 2010 where she has grown in patient care and expanded her skills including weight loss programs for patients and specialized procedures.
Monique spends her time enjoying natural vitamin D, the company of friendship, and gas powered vehicles. Monique has been on the Lake City Western Vigilantes Sidekicks since 2007 helping raise money for local kids.
Gina started at Water’s Edge in 2008. She has made the transition from back office support to general office operations. She manages front office procedures. Ginahandles patient accounts, and is a helpful resource for problem solving with billing or general queries. Her knowledge and dexterity in the office, and her delight in assisting patients, makes her an appreciated member of Dr. Abrams’ team.
Gina has a background in food and nutrition from Seattle Pacific University. She enjoys cooking, and in her spare time she tries new recipes. In the midst of her busy schedule she has a fondness for do-it-yourself projects. Gina also has interests in skiing and tennis.

Gwenyth Hitt, LMP
Gwen is a licensed massage practitioner, certified Stott Pilates instructor, Yamuna Body Rolling practitioner, and physical rehabilitation expert. For over 12 years she’s been helping people heal common pain problems, such as bunions, neuromas, knee, hip, and back pain, as well as rehabilitating after foot and back surgeries, and sports injuries.
She joined Water’s Edge clinic to complement the goals of rebuilding bodies by addressing unhealthy structural imbalances and pain. Gwen offers patients consultations to find out if her unique approach to physical health is the solution for them.
Velvet la Valette (Naturopathic Doctor Assistant)
Velvet assists Dr. Abrams at the Water’s Edge Beverly Hills and Water’s Edge Santa Barbara clinics. She has excellent organization skills, attention to details, great understating of hormonal related lab techniques and testing. Velvet is passionate about optimum health, nutrition. She has a kind and gentle heart and she deeply cares about the well-being of our patients.
Velvet became a registered yoga instructor after studying a blend of Iyengar and Ashtanga yoga with Yogaworks in 2010 and has a strong understanding of human anatomy and physiology. She lives in Los Angeles with her adorable Pekinese dog Wobert. She graduated from the University of Redlands with a B.A. in English and minor in Theatre. She enjoys concerts, running, and teaching yoga.
Mr. Lee (Elegant Limo Service, Seattle)
Mr. Lee provides friendly, helpful transportation from the Seattle airport for our out-of-town patients, as well as helping the Water’s Edge staff when we travel to our California clinic.
